Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Edwards.
Veronica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a lifelong athlete and former member of the Jr. Women’s Basketball Team of Canada, I found after suffering a knee injury that proper nutrition and a healthy active lifestyle can play a major role in not only recovery but sustainable health and wellness too.
It was this newfound path that led me to study how holistic nutrition and the culinary arts can come together to help people achieve proper wellness with consistency but to do so in a way that living a natural, organic lifestyle can feel more rewarding. And this is why I created Fraîche Fit Meals, a fully organic, customizable meal prep service.
The company has been in existence for roughly a year, but it wasn’t until the end of October 2019 that I decided to leave my corporate job in automobile sales and give Fraiche Fit Meals 150% of my effort. I knew I had a greater purpose in life and when I finally tapped into it, I have been the happiest I’ve ever been. Serving my community and educating them on proper nutrition is what I’m meant to do. Today we cook for approximately 30 customers (and growing) on a weekly basis that includes but are not limited to the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Fraiche Fit Meals can be utilized by a sole individual or an entire family.
Has it been a smooth road?
There’s never a straight road to success and there will be many “bumps and bruises” along the way. But the lows are all part of the process. When you hit a roadblock, you’re forced to look within to figure out whatever challenge may be in front of you, but that is essentially how you grow. Owning and operating my own business has been the hardest yet most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I’ve had to rely solely on myself to get things going and growing. From concept to execution, it’s figuring out what product or service will add tangible value to someone’s life.
I personally believe one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is how to remain authentically myself and being patient. Everyone wants overnight success; however many are unwilling to work and wait for it. Just like my food being organic, it was vitally important that I grew and developed a community in an organic way. I may not have the largest amount of followers, but the customers I have absolutely love the product and customer service they receive. That in itself is why I do what I do. I’m customer-driven and focused and without them, I wouldn’t be in business.
At the end of the day, you just have to trust the process and learn not to get caught up in the highs or lows. Turn your blinders on, stay focused, driven, consistent, open to change and resilient. Your results will come; you have to be willing to go after them.

What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc.
A full-service food delivery plan that helps you save time reduces your dependence on “fast” or unhealthy foods and can be utilized by yourself or an entire family. We make clean eating better and easier from start to finish. We also help educate you on what to eat, what to avoid, and how to make small healthy choices each add that add up to big, positive changes going forward.
What sets you apart from others?
Give a man fish, he’ll have food for a day. Teach a man to fish, he’ll have food for a lifetime. Unlike other meal prep services, we provide each customer with the tools, resources and know-how to create a more sustainable healthy, active lifestyle. We are concerned about eating clean food and we want to make sure that everyone is eating the healthiest food possible while doing right by the environment and planet.
What are you most proud of?
Our customer’s results from eating clean, organic foods. Many of our customers have noticed a significant difference in how they feel overall from eating our food. We have several customers who suffer from Celiac Disease and have commented how their celiac hasn’t or rarely flares up after consuming our meals. When customers feel better, they look better. When they look better, they feel better. That is why our tagline is “Fitness and beauty start in the kitchen.”
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I think North American’s in general (Europe has been practicing this lifestyle since forever) are really starting to tap into creating an organic, environmentally friendly and eco-sustainable lifestyle now more than they ever. Growing up, I wasn’t educated in where my food came from and how it affected me; however, as an adult, I am extremely aware and conscious of where everything is sourced. As we’ve seen major shifts in the environment through global warming, it is my projection that the food industry and meat farmers will really start to focus on regenerative farming and raising food for people who care about their health, families and the environment too. (Or so I hope)
And maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic, but I hope over the next 5-10 years that there be stricter laws with animal welfare and how they are processed (butchered). I hope there are shifts in how animals are raised and people become more aware of the effects it has on human life as well as the taste difference in clean meats. Quality, integrity and safety have to be the #1 focus in the food industry and you can see the shift already happening.
