Meet Victoria Woods of QVN Beauty in Fort Worth

I was born & raised in Wichita KS. I moved to Texas immediately after I graduated High school in 2010. In 2011 I graduated from cosmetology school & worked as hairstylist at a salon in Arlington. About a year later I taught myself how to do eyelash extensions & began doing that on the side. In 2014 I had my son & started working a second job as a CSR. Later in the year I got laid off from the CSR job so I had to find more work. In 2015 I got my cdl & started driving school buses for FWISD. I tried to juggle following my dreams & working full time & it wasn’t working. In September of 2017 I quit & started as a full-time entrepreneur doing lashes & permanent makeup. In March of 2018 I launched my mink lash line “QVN Lashes” (QVN is short for QVEEN which is from my nickname QUEEN, I made it unique by changing the U to a V for Victoria). I pulled all-nighters making & customizing my lash cases. I then began working towards growing my brand. Saving & putting away money to invest in my business. I’ve always been a BIG DIY person because I love to make things. I started a side business “Castle Top Treats” where I make different treats & sweets. This is something I do for fun and it brings in another stream of income. It’s been said that the average millionaire has 7 hustles…I have 6 so far!

In January 2019 I changed my business name to QVN Beauty Co. I’ve always wanted my name on a product in stores all around the world so I thought about what I loved the most. BEAUTY & everything about it. In March of 2019 I launched my cosmetic & skincare line. I have so many products waiting to be made but it takes time & I am in no rush. I take pride in everything I make & I want everyone who buys my products to love them just as much as I do. I will soon be RE dropping my hair line “QVN Tresses” & introducing my hair care products, stay tuned!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a very rough road especially going from making GREAT money doing lashes & brows full time, to only doing it part-time now to focus on my line. All of my products are made by hand so it is very very time consuming but it was a sacrifice I was willing to make because I knew I didn’t want to do eyelashes for the rest of my life.

I’ve had several different downfalls that discouraged me but I always had to remind myself of why I started. That’s what keeps me going. That & the faith I have in God. He has truly been blowing my mind & I know this is only the beginning!
