Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Hirth.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We organized a farmers market in 2009 at the Firewheel Town Center in Garland, TX. Over 65 vendors were brought together every Saturday in order to create what became one of the largest farmers market in North Texas. Since then, we have organized over 40 public and private Markets.
Recognizing a deviation from traditional brick and mortar entrepreneurship and a growing appetite for local, small-batched goods, we set out to identify the best quality artisanal products and connect buyers and sellers. Anchored by a network of farmers markets, we integrate patrons, vendors, local businesses, and property owners.
Has it been a smooth road?
Markets are well-embraced by vendor entrepreneurs, the community, and property owners. Introducing technology to a centuries-old concept, however, is a paradigm shift that requires a change in thinking and operating. Vendors who are embracing our marketing platform are beginning to understand the magnitude of possibilities. More property owners are using the Markets to garner additional foot traffic to their centers. More cities are embracing the collaboration with Markets to provide an amenity to their citizens. More local area businesses are finding ways to integrate with the Market community.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Four Seasons Markets – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Four Seasons Markets is leveraging technology and innovation to help entrepreneurs connect with buyers for their artisanal goods in a community setting. Our platform provides complete integration for vendors, the community, developers, and local area businesses. It’s very satisfying to see entrepreneurs who leverage our platform to achieve a lifelong dream.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The DFW area is expansive and provides the opportunity for several Markets to serve the area. The city (and surrounding area), however, lags some parts of the country in their adoption of visiting the Market every week to purchase fresh, quality food.
