Today we’d like to introduce you to Viviana Flores.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started by going to beauty school in April of 2016. I graduated an Esthetician in November of 2016. While I was in school, I learned how to apply eyelash extensions and realized I was pretty good at it. But that wasn’t the route I wanted my career to go in, at the moment. I worked in many different spas upon graduating but could not seem to find my home. In March of 2017, I decided I would start lashing from home to make extra income, seeing as my current job was not paying me too well. The business grew and started doing incredibly well in just three months! By June of 2017, I was able to move into a salon suite in Lewisville, TX. My plan was to be there for at least two years. But God had other plans. After being there for only a year, I received the keys to our new location in July 2018. Flores Med Spa opened its doors to the public on October 2018 and we gracefully continue to grow.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’d say it’s been a pretty smooth road. The most challenging things have been having to work my regular schedule at the spa and taking appointments while managing the rest of the spa on my own. Such as being the maintenance woman, social media expert, receptionist, and so many more titles all in one.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Flores Med Spa – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I started Flores Med Spa with the intent of offering mainly medical services but the business has since taken a turn and focused more on eyelash extensions. Which is the service we provide the most and are more known for.
I’m most proud that we have been able to maintain a lot of the same clients we started with in 2017 and continue to grow by the majority of our clientele being referred to us by word of mouth. I’d say what sets us apart from others is the fact that our luxury services are reasonably priced, our availability is very flexible and myself as well as my staff is always doing our best to go over and beyond for each client.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I hope to hire more amazing staff and continue to expand in other areas of the DFW here in the next few years.
