Today we’d like to introduce you to Wade Jackson
Hi Wade, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I begin writing as a child. I began writing songs to be honest. I like to write, rap, freestyle, and put words together than rhyme. I eventually began to write and speak at open mic shows in Jackson Alabama and Montgomery Alabama. I started the name “One Passionate Pen” years ago around 2004 to 2005 in Livingston Alabama.. Im a poet and a comedian. I’m a diverse artist that’s very talented. I’ve been on the open mic and social media scale since 2015. People love my poetry, however more people seem to be more interested in the laughs more than anything. I love to make people laugh and send them off better than I met them. I’m thankful for this chance to have this interview. Thank you very much.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Hell no. I lost my best friend in July 2018. 3 months later I lost my other best friend plus 4 other people in that same week of October 2018.. I thought I was next, but I continued to make people laugh with comedy and I continued to hit the open mic stage with poetry and spoken word.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I actually work in the vehicle field of detailing vehicles and transporting vehicles as well. Cars are my passion, especially muscle cars and old school, classic models.. I’m known for being a motivational speaker, car detail specialist, personal trainer, artist, rapper, comedian, poet, etc.. I’m proud to be from Jackson, Alabama and to show others outside of home my talents and gifts. I’m hard working. Very energetic. I’m naturally funny. I’m a team player. I also promote and encourage others to tap into their own personal gifts, talents, and callings.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Don’t trust or believe anyone to be there for you when you going through dark times. Wipe your own tears and encourage yourself. I learned that best friends or people you have known for 20 something years or more can change up on you
