Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitley Dickson.
Whitley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always hated working, haha, that’s the start for sure. I always felt like something was missing. I would go to work and dedicate a whole day to employers only to end up too tired to do the things I enjoyed. I wanted to start living a life I was excited about and not always looking forward to Friday! This past December, I got fired from my job for basically not wanting to be there, go figure and that was the moment I said I was never going back.
My fiancee and I hustled and worked so hard with businesses we created earlier but were too busy to really dive into and surprise, surprise. We were able to double our monthly income!
Has it been a smooth road?
The road was not smooth at all, but I knew what I wanted to, so the hiccups made me work harder. There wasn’t ever a moment, though, where I was ready to break down and go back to work. That was no longer an option for me. So every day, we woke up and brainstormed more ideas to make money. What skills did we have that we could charge for? That question changed our life.

I have three main companies, not counting the other two my fiancee runs and manages but I will keep it short. Whitley Charee is the first company I ever created. It is dedicated to self-care and truly learning to love yourself. I was sparked after a breakup and I found that I had no idea who I really was. I had to do a lot of work, so my brand provided resources to really dive into that self-work. Most of the content was free, then I released my first workbook, which tackled those hard self-development questions.
Herban AF was second and recently really took off! Herban AF is a brand dedicated to reaching low-income communities and teaching them about a plant-based lifestyle, but more importantly, eating more whole and healthy foods. I offer e-books, cooking videos, and newly a Facebook group that offers a private space for people to come and learn in a more interactive space. I post pictures and videos of food to spark the conversation and dispel myths surrounding healthy eating. And lastly, Gray Financial Solutions. This is the newest to our family, but certainly the heavy hitter. This company offers financial resources such as budget and money management, tax preparation and credit repair, and education. Coming from a background that money was scarce, the more I learned about finances and credit, the more I wanted to learn! We launched our credit repair program that not only repairs credit but focuses on the educational component. We teach them the needed tools along the way so they can pass the information down through generations. We are looking to expose more people to home buying, businesses starting, and financial freedom!
With all of my brands, the goal is quite simple. Teach people to live a full and happy life. I am a wellness brand, so I teach all things that assist you in achieving the absolute most out of life! I want them to be mentally, physically and financially fit!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes! If you are sitting on any idea, DO IT! It doesn’t need to be perfect, but it does need to be finished!
