Meet Whitney Green of The Wellness Resort

Today we’d like to introduce you to Whitney Green.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi My Name Is Whitney & I’ll like to start off by saying that people find their calling later in life, but for me, it started in childhood Growing up in Jackson, Mississippi, I always felt naturally drawn to health, beauty, and caring for others. Whether it was skincare, wellness, or simply helping someone feel more confident in their own skin, I knew early on that I wanted to make a difference. That passion eventually led me from my hometown to Dallas, Texas, where I am now building my career as a licensed esthetician, certified lymphatic specialist, entrepreneur, and professional model.

My journey hasn’t been without challenges. I attended Jackson State University with plans of earning a traditional four-year degree, but after the heartbreaking loss of my father, everything in my life shifted. During one of the most difficult seasons I’ve ever experienced, I began to realize that I didn’t want to just follow a path that society defined as success—I wanted to follow what truly aligned with my purpose.

Choosing faith over fear, I made the bold decision to invest in myself. I relocated to Texas and enrolled at Ogle School in Arlington, where I earned my esthetician license. From there, I continued growing and became certified as a lymphatic therapist, which allowed me to combine skincare with post-operative and therapeutic wellness care.

Today, with eight years of experience as a licensed esthetician, I specialize in lymphatic drainage therapy, post-operative cosmetic recovery, body contouring, and holistic wellness. I work with women recovering from cosmetic procedures, mothers healing after childbirth, and individuals recovering from injuries. My goal is always to support each client’s healing journey while helping them rebuild confidence from the inside out.

“My goal has never been just to provide a service,” I often say. “I want every person who leaves my care to feel healthier, stronger, and more confident than when they arrived.”

Outside of the treatment room, I’ve also found my place in the fashion industry. As both a model and stylist, I’ve walked runways and worked behind the scenes at fashion events in New Orleans, Texas, and Florida. With my sights now set on New York Fashion Week, I continue to grow my presence while blending beauty, fashion, and wellness into one unified vision.

My interests go far beyond skincare. I’ve always had a deep passion for health, beauty, fashion, and food—because I truly believe wellness is about the whole person, not just one part of them. That belief is the foundation of both my personal life and my business.

Looking ahead, I dream of opening my own full-service wellness center—a space where clients can receive skincare treatments, post-operative care, lymphatic therapy, body wellness services, and holistic support all in one place.

With faith guiding every step, I know that vision will become reality.

My story is proof that success doesn’t always follow a traditional path. Sometimes, the greatest breakthroughs come when you have the courage to trust your purpose, trust God’s timing, and build a life that reflects who you were truly created to be.

From Jackson, Mississippi, to Dallas, Texas, I continue to grow, evolve, and inspire others by showing that healing goes far beyond the surface—it’s about restoring confidence, embracing purpose, and becoming the best version of yourself.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been anything but easy. In 2012, I lost my dad, and that completely changed the direction of my life. Losing him took away a part of me and left me feeling unmotivated for years. As the oldest sibling, I also felt a responsibility to help my mom and be there for my younger siblings while trying to figure out my own path. There were many moments where I questioned myself and wondered if I was capable of achieving the dreams I had for my life.

More recently, I experienced another heartbreaking loss when my Aunt Gail, who was like a second mother to me, passed away. Losing someone who played such a significant role in my life was devastating and forced me to once again find the strength to keep moving forward.

Through every setback, my faith has been my foundation. Those experiences taught me resilience, compassion, and the importance of living with purpose. Instead of allowing grief to define me, I’ve chosen to let it fuel me. Today, I’m more focused than ever, and I’ve been intentionally checking off the goals I’ve prayed and worked so hard for. Every accomplishment is a reminder that even after life’s hardest moments, healing is possible, and purpose can still prevail.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Wellness Resort is more than an esthetics business it’s a place where beauty meets healing. I created my brand with the vision of helping people feel confident from the inside out through professional skincare, post-operative recovery, and holistic wellness services.

As a licensed esthetician of eight years and certified lymphatic specialist, I specialize in post-operative lymphatic drainage, body contouring, skin health, and wellness treatments. My passion is helping women recover safely after cosmetic surgery, supporting mothers as they heal after childbirth, and assisting clients recovering from injuries. I believe healing is just as important as the procedure itself, and every client deserves personalized care, education, and compassion throughout their journey.

What sets The Wellness Resort apart is that I don’t believe in providing “just another service.” I build relationships with my clients and create customized treatment plans that focus on long-term results instead of quick fixes. Every appointment is designed to make my clients feel seen, heard, and cared for while restoring their confidence and promoting overall wellness.

Beyond the treatment room, I’m also a professional model, which has given me a unique perspective on beauty and confidence. Modeling has taught me that true beauty isn’t about perfection—it’s about how you carry yourself and how you feel. I bring that same philosophy into every service I provide.

One of the things I’m most proud of is building my business from the ground up through faith, resilience, and consistency. Every milestone represents years of hard work, personal sacrifice, and a commitment to serving others with excellence.

My long-term vision is to grow The Wellness Resort into a premier wellness center where clients can receive advanced skincare, post-operative care, lymphatic therapy, body contouring, wellness treatments, education, and recovery services all under one roof. My mission is simple: to help every client leave healthier, stronger, and more confident than when they walked in.

At The Wellness Resort, we don’t just enhance beauty—we support healing, restore confidence, and empower people to become the best version of themselves. With God’s guidance, this is only the beginning.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was born and raised in Jackson, Mississippi, as the oldest of four children in a loving two-parent household. Family has always been at the center of my life, and growing up, we were in church every Sunday. My parents made sure we spent quality time together, whether we were traveling, exploring new places, or simply enjoying each other’s company. Those experiences taught me the importance of faith, love, and staying connected.

As the oldest sibling, I naturally grew into a leadership role. I learned responsibility early and always looked out for my brothers and sisters. We were—and still are—a very close-knit family, and those strong family values have shaped the woman I am today.

Growing up, I was curious, adventurous, and creative. I loved beauty, fashion, skincare, and anything that allowed me to express myself while helping others. Even as a child, I found joy in making people feel good about themselves. Looking back, it’s no surprise that I built a career centered around confidence, healing, and wellness. The values my parents instilled in me—hard work, compassion, resilience, and faith—continue to guide me every day, both in my personal life and in my business.
