Founded in 1998, Clarity Homes began with a vision of providing homes with high end boutique designs at affordable prices for those in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. The company is piloted by entrepreneurs who do things against the grain, Will and Leslie. Captured by the power of diversity and timeless design, Leslie is a high end designer and innovator passionate about bringing pieces of each client’s heart and interest out into their surroundings Will, a skilled entrepreneur and builder, is committed to providing quality homes for Clarity’s clients at all price levels and ensuring a better tomorrow is built for his hometown, Fort Worth. Growing from just a few employees to now over 15 employees creating 100 homes a year, the vision of Clarity Homes has taken form and has swept Fort Worth. It is impossible to drive far without seeing a distinctly designed Clarity Home, each with lasting elements that make an impression. They are currently building in six neighborhoods throughout Fort Worth and plan to continue growing and serving their community.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes it has been a great road, but of course there are always challenges in any endeavor, especially a local business undertaking. After nearly twenty years in the home building business, Will and Leslie have seen that it is in the harder times when the rubber meets the road that opportunities arise that can take a business to the next level. We take very seriously the creation of the communities we are a part of and through home building we are securing a brighter future for the city we call home. There will always be the push and pull of ensuring we provide the best possible quality construction while meeting time constraints of our customers, yet through the years and experience we’ve gained, we have refined our process to best master the balance of time and quality. Second, the ever-changing nature of the home industry has presented the welcomed challenge of remaining on top of the latest construction technology, design trends, and customer service practices. We have learned that the obstacles and challenges presented offer the opportunity to grow and increase our skills sets to provide the best product at the best price in a timely manner.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Clarity Homes – what should we know?
Clarity Homes specializes in building homes from $200s-$500s in Fort Worth (and surrounding areas- Benbrook, Aledo, River District, Park Hill). We offer semi-custom home plans complete with boutique style. Our priority is the relationship we create and maintain with our clients from beginning to end. Around Clarity this is referred to as “Loving the People”, which is a core value of ours. As a local business as well as Fort Worth locals, we know we are building for our neighbors and are committed to a well-managed process. Second, we are passionate about providing what people see in magazines, Houzz, or Pinterest (to name a few) at a price they can afford. It is not uncommon to see one of our homes with a reclaimed wood wall, sliding barn doors, high end light fixtures from market, or gingham patterned tile. The design elements we provide are best in the industry. We are most proud of our involvement in the community. Giving back is important and a distinct element of who we are. We are involved with a local non-profit known as Victory Temple which helps rehabilitate and restore lives of men, women, and children of Fort Worth. We hold an annual Holiday Clothing Drive for Victory Temple and are greatly touched by this organization. This is just one example. Giving back and loving the people are important to us as we know we are doing more than just building homes- we are affecting lives.

We have not done this alone! There are countless people who deserve credit in our lives for mentorship, leadership, and education. It takes a village and we are grateful for the support we have received. Fort Worth Builders’ Association and opportunities they have provided us have increased our ability to produce at the level we do today; Certified Master Builders is an incredible organization that has supported our business and we are grateful for their expertise, guidance, and tools. TCU Business School + Alumni Association have helped create a secure network of skilled individuals as well as provided key educational opportunities for us locally. Our friends locally (too many to even name) and friends abroad in Ecuador have supported us immensely and we would not be where we are today without their help.
