So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I suffered with Chronic Fatigue for 17 years. I saw many doctors yet none had the solution for me. My wife said that I was acting old, slow, tired, grey, and fat. I wanted to feel younger. I searched on the internet and found Dr. Spurlock. He helped find the root cause of my illness and heal me from the inside out. When he and I were both going thru a career change a few years later we decided to form a medical clinic that is different from the average. We opened Renewed Vitality in 9/2011. We currently have 2 offices and 4 providers. We treat menopause and andropause, thyroid, chronic viral infections, weight loss, chronic fatigue, and fibromyalgia.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Finding providers that want to adopt a different approach to medicine has been a challenge. We have been blessed with 4 providers and look forward to expanding further.
Renewed Vitality – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We focus on finding the root cause of illness and healing the patient from the inside out. We are very different from the average medical clinic. Rather than the typical 5 to 10 minutes with the provider they send an hour with the patient for each of the first 2 visits to really understand what is causing the symptoms. During this first visit the provider learns the symptoms, health history, health goals of the patient. They do a physical exam and order very comprehensive lab work. When the results come in the provide the interpretation of the lab results, the diagnosis and treatment plan. We currently have 2 offices and 4 providers. We take the best of Allopathic Medicine (drugs & surgery) and combine that with the of use bio-identical hormones, as well as holistic methods to heal the patient.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Our patients get their lives back. They enjoy a healing experience unlike they have found before. Our menopause and andropause patients usually see fairly rapid results. The majority of our chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia patients see results that they have often been seeking for years.
