Meet Windy Gallagher, Wendy Shelley, and Kim Shumway of KitchenWares on the Square in Historic Downtown McKinney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Windy Gallagher, Wendy Shelley, and Kim Shumway.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Windy, Wendy, and Kim. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We’re all relative newbies to the kitchen wares business, but all have a passion for cooking, grilling, entertaining, and educating people on the joys of being a home cook. We’ve all been given the opportunity to take KitchenWares on the Square to a new level with our outstanding customer service, expertise, unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, along with our hands-on cooking class experiences.

Has it been a smooth road?
Since we all started, we’ve had some changes in ownership/upper management, but we’ve kept moving forward with the help of understanding vendors and a new owner. Enjoying working together and thriving on each other’s ideas and energy help too!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
KitchenWares on the Square specializes in kitchen and house wares. We are unique in many ways, including our depth of products for such a small store, to our location (Historic Downtown McKinney), to our community involvement, and expertise. We sell everything from the Big Green Egg to whisks! Our hands-on cooking classes have been highly successful and sets us apart from other kitchen and house wares companies.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Historic Downtown McKinney is a fabulous place to be! Not only has it become a destination for people all over the world, but there’s a unique community with the shop owners and employees.
