Today we’d like to introduce you to Winfield and Debra Northrup.
Winfield and Debra, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started baking with my mother at a very early age, she taught me to measure and follow recipes.
Throughout the years, I’ve baked for family and friends on holidays and special occasions, this enabled me to refine recipes and create new recipes.
In 2018, we started selling Cookies in Canton TX, Trade Days. This enabled me to further refine recipes and to test these recipes on the public. This gave us the confidence to open a storefront in our home town of Rowlett, TX.
We have been truly blessed with our customers and community support, and that I’m able to do what I love doing.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Creating new cookies involves a lot of trial and error, but our biggest issue has been keeping up with demand.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Winfield’s Cookies & More story. Tell us more about the business.
We are known for our Brown Butter and Doodle Cookies. We are most proud of our 100% Health Inspection Rating.
Our recipes are unique and can’t be found anywhere else.
