Meet Xenia Gray

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xenia Gray.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up in Siberia and came to Dallas from Moscow in 2015. I started going to art school since I was 9 years old and never looked back. Since then, I’ve worked in graphic design, print media, and UI/UX design. In my free time, I do oil paintings and portraits.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I haven’t encountered many difficulties moving to the United States. As an artist, it’s feel far easier to transition from one locale or culture because art often transcends barriers. The biggest challenge today is balancing between raising a toddler and finding time to be creative.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about No name – freelance – what should we know?
As a freelance artist, I love to collaborate with people and bring their ideas to life. There’s nothing more gratifying than capturing their dreams. I specialize in murals – either sketching them out first in pencil, digitizing on a tablet, and printing out wallpaper or drawing them free-hand with markers.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My biggest inspiration for murals is Timothy Goodman – he’s one of the best out there. The best client I’ve had personally for mural work so far has been Arepa TX – a great restaurant featuring Latin street food.
