Meet Eric Chandler of Xpressdocs in North Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Chandler.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eric. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Xpressdocs was born in founder Colin Bailey’s garage in 1998 as Ideas & Paper, but began operating under the Xpressdocs name in January 2001 with the launch of the first version of our on-demand technology platform.

In 2007, Xpressdocs was a finalist for the Inman Innovator Award for most innovative technology. Soon after, we transitioned our business to the cloud and began introducing a number of digital tools and automated programs that support/optimize email, social, prospect, and in-app mobile ad marketing.

We acquired Global Group Inc. in June of 2012, and received the USPS Mail Solutions Award the following year, recognizing our strong working relationship with the Postal Service. A few years later in 2016, we acquired Merrill Corp.’s real estate, professional services, and direct seller businesses and nearly doubled our number of employees.

The future of Xpressdocs is very promising as we continue expanding our product offerings to meet the needs of clients.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In 2016 we acquired our biggest competitor. It was a major milestone for our company, and it came with a great deal of growth. When you experience so much growth in such a short period, it presents challenges. However, our core customer base didn’t abandon us — something we attribute to our niche focus. It was reassurance there’s still a strong appetite for the products and services Xpressdocs offers.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Xpressdocs – what should we know?
Xpressdocs focuses on streamlining and scaling organizations’ direct marketing and brand management efforts, freeing up valuable time for them to focus on core business activities.

Our custom marketing platform is designed for organizations that employ a large network of distributed users who need access to brand-safe marketing materials — including print-on-demand, full-service direct mail, promotional products, digital marketing tools, and more.

We centralize creative assets and develop branded online storefronts for each company, which houses customized programs and products that adhere to the requirements put in place by their corporate marketing, legal, or C-suite teams. From there, mid-level offices and end users self-serve and order materials that can be customized for local marketing needs.

Speed-to-market is a necessity for the industries and clients we serve, and it’s the hallmark of our organization. Our streamlined workflows and automated production capabilities enable us to produce over 2,000 orders per day (85% of which mail or ship within 24 hours of order placement).

We aim to simplify the marketing efforts of our clients, ultimately improving their team productivity and increasing sales.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least about our city?
There’s a lot to love about this city. I’m partial to all the variety it offers — including the people, activities, business, and of course the food!

Things I could live without in the city? Never-ending construction and triple-digit weather.
