So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been taking photos most of my life and even received a Photography Degree, however Epix Photo Booths didn’t get it start until Jan. 2018. My friends and I always host events or I am always asked to plan different events for friends as well as different organizations. These event usually include photo booth rentals. After renting several photo booths from different companies and being charged different prices and seeing the different fees each company charged, I decided to learn the photo booth business and start my own photo booth company.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road but as with anything you can expect bumps along the way. IF things always ran smoothly, you would never be able to learn new things since everyone knows you learn from you mistakes. One of the first things I learned is that everyone wants more for less. Having to explain to someone that not in the photography business the difference of a DSLR quality photo as opposed to an I-Pad photo is a task. My booths uses DSLR cameras to take photos and not an iPad that some companies uses.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Epix Photo Booths – what should we know?
Epix Photo Booths is a Veteran Owned photo booth rental company that strives to provide the best service around without all the hidden fees. One of the things that I learned before starting Epix is just about every company will advertise by using a low cost approach however add on fees for different things that most people believe should be included in the stated price on the advertisement. Epix Photo Booths do not have any hidden fees and the quoted price is all inclusive.
Epix Photo Booth Specializes in wedding, birthday parties, cooperate events, bar mitzvas, you name it we can do it. If you contact us and say you want a photo booth, if one is available for the date requested we will be there. No matter the occasion.
We value our customers opinion and suggestions therefore we are always changing. Not the way we do business but by adding different services to better suit the customer. One of the main complaints I had before starting Epix was it was hard getting in touch with some of the other companies and sometimes I would not hear back from them even after leaving voicemails. That’s was one thing I made sure when Epix launched in Jan. If someone called or left a message one of my staff members would call them back or follow up within 24 hours. One of our customers suggested that we added an online booking portal on our website (www.epixphotos.net). Although a complete booking cannot be done over the internet, most of the booking can be complete by email (for our clients that have a busy schedule and prefer emails over talking on the phone).
As mentioned above, our all-inclusive prices is what set us apart from our competitors. We do not charge a fee for this, another fee for that, oh and another fee if you want that. Our booths have a set rate (based on the booth you prefer) all you have to do is tell us what you like so we can customize the photo strips to suit your needs.

Communication!!!!
Being in contact with the client is the most important part about the business. As anyone that’s an event/wedding planner knows, there is nothing more stressful then not knowing or having all the details worked out prior to an event. The week of the event is not the time to start changing things. We try to have everything finalized at least 2 weeks prior that way the week of the event you can relax and the day of the event you can enjoy. This is where our company got its name. Our goal is to ensure that you and your guess enjoy your event making it Epic (Epix).
