Hi Yudas, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Venezuela, where I studied Dentistry.
When I came to the United States, I had to start from zero. It was not easy, but I worked hard and never gave up.
Later, I found the insurance industry, and I realized I could help families protect their future. With hard work and discipline, I started Bastidas Insurance. Today, my agency has helped thousands of families, and we have created opportunities for many agents to build their own careers.
I also always had a dream. My dream was to have my own clothing store. That dream became real when I started Plutina, a women’s boutique. I want women to feel confident, beautiful, and strong.
My story taught me that where you start does not decide where you can go. Today, my goal is to continue growing my businesses, help more families, and create opportunities for other people to achieve their
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it was not easy.
When I came to the United States, I started from zero. I did many jobs that I did not like, and I worked very long hours because I wanted to build a better future. There were many times when I felt tired, afraid, and full of doubts, but I never gave up.
Later, I started my businesses. One of my biggest challenges was with Plutina. The owner of the suite where our store was located told us that she was going to file for bankruptcy and that we had less than one month to leave the store.
That news was very difficult for me. For a moment, I thought about closing the business because Plutina is a very important dream for me. But I decided to continue. My team and I worked very hard, and in less than two months we opened our new location.
That experience taught me that the most difficult moments can become great opportunities. Today, I know that hard work, discipline, faith, and perseverance can help you overcome any challenge and make your dreams come true.

Bastidas Insurance helps families find health and life insurance that fits their needs. Our mission is to protect families and give them peace of mind. We also train and support new insurance agents, helping them build a successful career and a better future.
Plutina is a women’s clothing boutique. It has always been my dream to have my own clothing store. Our goal is to help women feel confident, beautiful, and strong. We believe that fashion is more than clothes. It is about confidence and feeling good about yourself.
Even though these are two different businesses, they have the same purpose: to help people improve their lives, create new opportunities, and inspire others to follow their dreams.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I believe every dream needs courage. If you never take a risk, your life will never change.
One of the biggest risks I took was starting my businesses. I invested my time, my money, and many years of hard work. There was no guarantee that everything would be successful.
Another big risk was deciding to continue with Plutina after we had to leave our first store. Many people thought it was too difficult, but I believed in my dream and decided to keep going. Today, I know it was the right decision.
I do not take risks without thinking. First, I think about the situation, then I make a plan, I work very hard, and then I take the risk. I have always believed that God blesses hard work. When you work with faith, discipline, and perseverance, good opportunities and good results will come.
I believe real growth starts when you are willing to do something that is not easy.
