Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Earhart.
Hi Zach, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
As a young high school graduate, I began working with the brand “panty cakes” doing product photos. This was my foundation and I tried my best to get creative to find out product photography was only the beginning. I began taking photos of my friends and they never had a negative reaction & I had a thrill for the smile I’d see on people’s faces after they looked at the photos I took. So, I decided to let go of fear completely and just go for it, I jumped into the creative scene in Dallas at 100mph & quickly found my place in fashion photography. Through Instagram, I would reach out to creatives who inspired me to ask if they wanted to work, from Dallas to LA & NYC and I would pay to travel to them and execute. These shoots were never really planned, so it was always spontaneous and as I posted them to Instagram the world quickly ate it up. Now in my city people will come up to me and ask if I’m ‘Zachshotit’ and it’s the coolest feeling ever.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
This path has lots of bumps, there are smooth moments but ultimately it is a challenge. 90% of my golden moments were risks taken at the lowest points of my life, in times where I had nowhere to run from the outside world. Either you take that risk or sit there feeling your issues consume you. Every time I pushed myself, I was broke, full of anxiety with nothing but intent to spread love. I would not be here without God. I pray about every risk I’ve taken and it always works out somehow.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am Zachshotit, a photographer in Dallas Texas well known for eccentric wide-angled, colorful photos full of life and expression. I’m most proud of my ability to detach from the rules I was taught and my carelessness for what people think. You can tell in my photos that I go all out to make my subject look super cool.
What do you think about luck?
Honestly, I don’t believe in luck. I’m heavy on following my intuition. As a spiritual man, I believe God and the universe speak to me through my intuition and guide me to where I need to be.
