Meet Za’Nya Lyons of Miss Angel’s Hair Collection

Today we’d like to introduce you to Za’Nya Lyons.

Za’Nya, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started with a dream! I always knew I wanted to work for myself so owning a business was on top of my priority list. I just wanted to make sure all my ducks were in a row before starting it. I love getting my hair done and people absolutely adore my hair always. So, I was like why not give the word my hair. So that’s what I did. I got my name from my granny she uses to call me Miss Angel because she thought I reminded her of an Angel. After she passed, I thought what better way to honor her and the name she gave me and make it my business name!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Running a business isn’t easy at all. There are ups and downs. Sometimes you think you got everything planned out then a roadblock comes and throws you off track. The struggles I have faced with photographers quitting on me on our shoot day. Also, not being to fulfill an order because the inventory hasn’t come in yet. Just minor things that can throw everything off but you just have to stay focused and know how to work around it.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
