Today we’d like to introduce you to Zyria Johnson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Zyria. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I began my modeling journey the very night of my 21st birthday, by featuring a lead role in a paid music video. From then on, I fell in love more with being in front of the camera. I started taking on as many shots and recognition I could by networking, collaborating with different photographers and attending any power shots. A year later, due to my hard work and ambition to work and develop more, I have collaborated with over eleven different photographers (some more than twice), a few boutiques, major clothing brands/upcoming brands, and became a brand ambassador of Naiiz Hair. I believe my outstanding goofiness and comfort within myself and everyone I worked with behind the scenes helped my journey as well.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
During the first couple of months I was modeling, it was a challenge to balance work, school, personal life and be able to still book gigs. However, everything always falls into place, because of my determination of wanting to accomplish what most do not feel is possible.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Black Elegance – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Black Elegance is my branded name. I specialize in Fashion and Boudoir modeling, but I love to step out of my comfort zone.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future is to step outside of the DFW more and progress my talent all around the world and become a successful Fashion Designer.
