We recently had the chance to connect with Mrs. Jazmine Colson-Coleman and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Jazmine, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to lead more boldly—with my full voice, not just my strategy.
For a long time, I stayed in the background, comfortable with being “the one behind the scenes” helping others launch and build. But lately, I’ve felt a deep pull to step forward, share my story, and own my authority—not just as a marketing expert, but as a woman, a mother, and a CEO creating impact on her own terms.
What used to scare me was being fully visible, launching my own ideas, hosting sold-out events has become a sacred part of this new era for me. I call it my “Boss Era,” but it’s really about showing up with confidence, clarity, and care.
Now, I’m building more than campaigns. I’m building a legacy that helps other women feel seen, supported, and equipped to lead too.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Jazmine Coleman—the founder of Colson Creative Company, a marketing agency devoted to helping small businesses launch with clarity, confidence, and campaigns that actually convert.
I specialize in teaching business owners how to build intentional marketing campaigns through live workshops, 1:1 coaching, and creative VIP days that blend photography, videography, and strategy. My work sits at the intersection of structure and soul, I help clients create systems they can stick to and messaging that feels authentic to who they are.
What makes Colson Creative special is our commitment to doing things with care. I’m not about hustle culture or perfectionism. I believe in marketing that feels human, launches that feel aligned, and growth that doesn’t cost you your peace.
I recently entered what I call my “New Era”, a time of showing up more visibly, confidently, and creatively. I’ve just launched many partnerships, releasing an ebook, and hosted a sold-out event that reminded me just how powerful this work really is.
At the heart of it all, I’m a wife, mom a multi-passionate creative, and a woman who knows what it means to start scared but started anyway.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that constantly played small to make others comfortable.
For a long time, I downplayed my voice, my ideas, even my wins thinking that humility meant staying quiet or not taking up too much space. But what I’ve learned is that purpose doesn’t thrive in silence. You can be humble and visible. Grounded and powerful. Strategic and spirit-led.
That version of me that was waiting for the perfect time, overthinking every move, shrinking when I should be standing tall… has served her purpose. She kept me safe when I needed to be cautious. But now, it’s time to release her so I can rise fully into who I’m becoming.
This new season is about visibility, alignment, and trusting that I don’t have to hustle for what’s already mine. I’m walking forward with gratitude, but I’m not looking back.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me to slow down and listen to myself.
When everything around me was uncertain, when I felt stretched thin, unseen, or like things were falling apart it forced me to sit with the question: What really matters?
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
She’s finally becoming one and the same.
There was a time when the public version of me was polished but guarded, professional, encouraging, but quiet about the full truth of what it takes to build, lead, and still show up for yourself. I thought that being strong meant being perfect, or that vulnerability would make me look less capable.
But over time and especially stepping into this new era I’ve learned that the more I lead with my real voice, the more impact I make.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think people may misunderstand how intentional my legacy really is.
Because I lead with softness, some may assume it came easy. That I just “showed up and it worked.” But behind the scenes are years of quiet persistence, unglamorous seasons, late nights, and the kind of faith that only grows in the dark.
My legacy isn’t built on loudness—it’s built on impact. On every person I’ve helped in my line of work but with confidence. Every client who finally felt seen in their story. Every moment I chose alignment over applause.
So if it’s misunderstood, that’s okay. My work was never meant to be performative. It was meant to be transformational. And those who were touched by it? They’ll know.
