Myloh Remora on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Myloh Remora shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Myloh, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What battle are you avoiding?
Hey! That’s a great question! I think I’m avoiding is the future of handling family life and this booming music career. The nights are long and I am on coffee and fumes 99% of time.Everyday is totally hectic for me and in a weird way I like it but at some point it is gonna come to a head

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am myloh remora of Southern California.Been in the music my whole life basically and the brand I started is called Air Thang! It’s a play on the word everything. So when people ask who is it for ? Everyone and what do you do? Everything. We have no limits on genres or styles. We really just vibe out for the community.

Myloh has been making waves all year with the instant classic second album “U Hxte The Idea Of Me” and the longevity of it has been a sight to see.Myloh has had much former success such as his first album “Minivan 2 Heaven” which donned popular tracks such as Pretty Little Angels and Best Friend. He has developed an organic fan base who respects him for his fearlessness and overwhelmingly honest content.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I was sitting in the garage with some old friends when I was 20 and a friend told me that I needed to stick to rap and not sing.He claimed that I needed to have one sound and that was probably the last time I took anything that friend said serious.I mean my most popular songs are Come On and Same with Cherry Iced Tea and those are heavy on the singing.I that day really set my goals on being a forward thinking everyday. I hate when people tell artists who to be.I encourage people to do whatever feeds their soul. That guy tried to limit me

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I miss when my family was more engaged with my career.I don’t know why but no matter what I achieve my family and my girlfriend Cherry’s family typically stays away from my musical side.Even though I’ve made so much money and have had so much success with it.They never ask me how I feel or get my thoughts on things. They just purely avoid it and it does hurt and it almost makes me feel like I’m some idiot.I encourage people and build up the art scenes in multiple communities.I am near being able to live off it but they still act like it’s nonexistent

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is me amplified. In private I am much less upbeat,I’m more so just intorverted and chill.I can count on one hand how many people know my true self.I really just hang out work out play games and hang with my loved ones.Im much much quieter but I still am positive but overall I like it that way

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
People will try to discredit my legacy for sure. They won’t mention the radio stations, the performances in front of 1000s of people, the people who have cried to my music or bought merch. Some will try to just see it as a hobby that I over pushed online and treat it as if I somehow wasn’t successful at it.I feel very proud of my legacy.I have made 1000s of classic songs
