Natalie Nichole shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Natalie, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
Honestly, I’m proud of getting my finances tightened up and truly aligned. I’ve worked hard to become more intentional about where my money goes and how it supports my long-term goals. I’m also proud of being back in college—I’m setting myself up for a better future, including a stronger retirement plan and the tools I need to move more strategically in both education and entrepreneurship.
There’s a lot I’m doing behind the scenes that people don’t see. It’s not just about the music or the content—it’s mind, body, and soul work. I’m building something sustainable, not just for now, but for the life I want years from now.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Natalie Nichole—an independent artist, best-selling author, and entrepreneur based in Dallas, Texas. I’ve charted on iTunes, worked with Nick Cannon, toured nationally, and built my brand from the ground up. I create music that blends genres and tells real stories, but my journey is deeper than what people see. I’m also in college, aligning my finances, and constantly evolving—mind, body, and soul. Everything I do is rooted in purpose, creativity, and growth.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
This is such a beautiful question to me. My answer is God. He saw me long before I ever could—and I was lucky enough that He gave me glimpses of who I could become. It was up to me to pull that version of myself out, step by step, intentionally. God saw me, He sees me, and He reminds me daily of who I am, why I’m here, and where I’m going.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I’ve honestly always felt like giving up wasn’t an option for me. Sure, the thought crosses your mind when things get really tough—but that’s exactly when I know it’s time to buckle down even more. Even when I’m exhausted or spent, something in me refuses to quit. I’ve learned that pressure doesn’t mean stop—it means push with purpose.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is the real me. What you see is what you get. I can be many things—evolving, emotional, driven—but one thing I’ll never be is fake. I’m honest, and however I show up in the moment is always true to who I am. Pretending? That takes way too much energy. I’d rather be real.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I would want people to say that I worked hard and did everything I possibly could to evolve and make the most of every gift God gave me. That I tried, I loved, I failed—but I also won. I hope people say I stayed the course, no matter how long it took or how hard it got. And more than anything, I hope they remember that I had the best heart, full of passion & wonder.
