Hi Alexis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi-ya everyone! I’m ecstatic to bring a little bit of my life to your eyes. From being a full-time detention officer, full-time Makeup Artist and an All-Around Multi-Business Owner with the ability to inspire and uplift others through Self-Love and Self-Affirmation.
My journey began as a true reflection of my brand, EnhancedBeautifully. As a makeup artist, I always focused on enhancing my clients’ beauty, which kept the concept of enhancement at the forefront of my mind. Reflecting on my past to my present, I realize I have truly embodied my brand name.
In 2020, when I was just 19 I experienced the loss of my father to stage 4 colon cancer. To cope with my grief and minor anxiety, I immediately started therapy. However, I could not continue the sessions because I felt emotionally detached and numb. Jumping ahead to 2021, I discovered a new hobby: bedazzling sandals, sunglasses, and sneakers. Even though I received only a few orders, this creative outlet still sparked some joy in my life.
The following year I discovered a new hobby that has since turned into my second source of income being a Makeup Artist. This pastime has positively transformed my life! It wasn’t a simple endeavor, becoming a makeup artist demands both patience and an artistic eye. I started by practicing on my family and friends, and soon found myself traveling out of town for gigs, which was incredibly exciting. I was growing and enhancing my appearance, which concurrently boosted my inner self as well. In 2023, I began doing makeup for wedding parties and models, and even had the opportunity to work with a celebrity. Keeping both my mind and heart busy. However, as the holidays approached, memories of my dad would weigh heavily on me, I struggled to return to the vibrant, enthusiastic version of myself that I had been displaying before. This led to a significant surge of anxiety and depression; I was no longer the person I used to be. Thankfully my mom, sister, and best friend supported me and encouraged me to consider therapy again, which I ultimately decided to pursue.
In 2024, I was on my healing and self-care journey. Going to therapy twice a week, as well as picking back up my business as a makeup artist. I was enhancing others all while I was sinking back into depression. Therapy helped me a lot, also going to the Woman Evolve conference hosted by Sarah Jakes Robert. While being at the conference and seeing women all over the world coming to this event brought me joy, peace, and confirmation that this is something I want to do. I like to call it “creating a safe space for self-love” and that’s when it hit me!
I launched EhancedBeautifully January 31st, 2025, “The mission is to create a safe space and enhance confidence and beauty reaching all regions. We will become the company that helps promote self-confidence through intensifying your inner beauty through your outer beauty. We are committed to empowering individuals by enhancing their inner beauty through our high-quality products.” Apparel, beauty products, and it won’t stop there!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey wasn’t straightforward, but it was possible if I believed in myself, and I did just that and even more. Preparing for a brand may appear simple—you have your products, your name, and your purpose—but it was the little details I overlooked, which I discovered through experience. I had overlooked the need for shipping labels and packaging both for shipping and for my products. I was creating everything from scratch and failed to realize how much time would be involved. Today, I stand here with more self-assurance than I had on the day of my launch.

I realize I shared quite a bit in my first response, but I’m happy to elaborate further. As a Makeup Artist, I’m on a journey to evolve into a Makeup Expert. My focus is on ensuring that my clients experience confidence and empowerment through makeup, which aligns perfectly with my brand, EnhancedBeautifully.
What distinguishes me from others is that I don’t solely focus on beauty; I view it as a means of self-expression and a pathway to self-love. My aim isn’t to achieve high sales, but to foster genuine connections and inspire everyone following my journey to embrace deeper self-love. Additionally, as someone who wears many hats in the public eye, I became a content creator and launched a YouTube channel to document my experiences and bring joy to those who may need a laugh when their day isn’t going well.
