Today we’re excited to be connecting with Ashanty Avila again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Ashanty, thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
Hi Everybody!
My name is Ashanty and I am the proud owner and CEO of Avila Skin Care. My studio is an all-inclusive studio that focuses on full body waxing, body brightening treatments and chemical peels. I have been in the beauty industry for over 25 years but licensed for only 10 years.
I absolutely love being able to be a part of a client’s life by providing, not only the services that helps with their confidence, but to be able to provide a safe space to relax and be pampered.
Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
So much has happened since my last interview which have helped me grow both personally and professionally. I invested in a great mentorship program which gave me the tools to venture out from only being a service provider.
After many years of being a solo esthetician, I decided that I wanted to be able to help my fellow licensed esties grow their business and have since started offering 1:1 hands-on training and business coaching. Not only have I been able to help others, but I gained new friendships along the way.
We have now arrived at one of our favorite parts of the interview – the lightning round. We’ll ask you a few quick questions to give us all some fun insights about you.

What do you want people to remember about you and your brand? What are some of things that you feel are most important, unique, special, etc?
The one thing I want people to remember about me and my brand is how I made them feel. It is important to me to make everyone feel special, heard and understood when they come through my doors. With so much going on in everyday life, everyone needs a place where they can escape from it all if even for just 30 minutes.
I may not see first time clients again, but I do want them to leave feeling a little better than when they first arrived.
