Rising Stars: Meet Ashley Aranda of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Aranda.

Hi Ashley, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always felt like photography has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always dreamed of having a professional digital camera but could never afford one. But nonetheless, I would buy the cheap $50 digital cameras that were popular back then just because I loved taking pictures and documenting special people in my life. It wasn’t until I had my first baby that I realized how important photos really are. It allows us to freeze moments and memories that we can look back on years later that will remind us of that exact moment and I think that is so beautiful. 3 years ago I took a risk and decided to pursue my dream of being a photographer and being able to freeze those moments and memories for others is what made me fall more in love with this job. I love what I do!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nope! Learning photoshop and editing has been a challenge but I enjoy learning everything about photography so I can definitely say I’ve come a long way from when I first started.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a lifestyle and wedding photographer. I specialize in couples, families, weddings and elopements. I’m known for being silly behind the camera just to get those candid moments. I would say I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown and learn the last few years and how I never give up on my little dream. What sets me apart from others is the relationships and connections I build with my clients. To me, they’re not just my clients, they’re friends and some of them become family to me. It’s truly a beautiful thing.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My husband is my #1 supporter. He has always pushed me to follow my dreams and to pursue my passion. He’s always believed in me and I wouldn’t be where I am now without him (he bought me my baby aka my camera lol)
