Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayesha Baig
Hi Ayesha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
What really makes our story unique is the fusion of two completely different worlds. My business partner, Sidra Ahmed, and I have been friends for years, but professionally, we come from entirely different backgrounds. While I’ve always been immersed in the creative side—photography and videography—Sidra has a strong background in eCommerce, supply chain, and technology, with experience at major companies like PepsiCo. Initially, we didn’t think our paths had much in common, but that contrast turned out to be our biggest strength.
Sidra’s not just a strategist; she’s also incredibly skilled in woodwork, a craft she’s perfected over time. That’s what led us to recently expand our business to include wedding decor. Sidra’s craftsmanship and eye for design complement my creative vision, and together, we’ve been able to offer clients a unique blend of visual storytelling and custom décor solutions. Her business acumen and creative craftsmanship, paired with my expertise in visual storytelling, have allowed us to create content that isn’t just beautiful, but impactful, functional, and deeply personalized to our clients’ needs.
This dynamic blend of creativity, strategy, and craftsmanship has shaped our business in ways we never imagined, and it’s what sets us apart in the industry
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road? Not at all. Both Sidra and I took the unconventional route, stepping straight into entrepreneurship rather than following the more traditional, secure career paths that are often expected, especially for women in our culture. There’s this prevailing mindset that women should go for stable, corporate jobs, and choosing to build a business from scratch—especially in a male-dominated industry—was met with a lot of skepticism. People would often question why we didn’t stick to the ‘safe’ options. But for us, it was never about playing it safe. It was about taking a chance on something we were truly passionate about. The challenges were real—there were moments of self-doubt and external pressure—but every hurdle we overcame only made us more determined. We wanted to prove that women can build successful businesses, take risks, and thrive in spaces that are not traditionally designed for us.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We specialize in visual storytelling through photography, videography, and custom wedding decor. What sets us apart is the combination of creativity and hands-on craftsmanship. While I focus on bringing the visual story to life, Sidra designs and builds every piece of décor we use, adding a unique, personalized touch to each project. This, along with our ability to blend strategy with creativity, allows us to create content that is not only beautiful but also meaningful and impactful.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned on this journey is that growth often comes from discomfort. At the start, we thought that if we just worked hard enough, success would come quickly. But we quickly realized that true growth happens when we step out of our comfort zones, embrace uncertainty, and learn from every setback. There have been plenty of challenges—moments where we felt like giving up—but we’ve learned that those are the moments that teach you the most. It’s not just about the work you do, but about how you approach the journey itself: with patience, persistence, and the willingness to adapt. The key takeaway for us has been that real success is built over time, one step at a time, and it’s always about staying true to what you’re passionate about.
