Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Herbst.
Blake, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Blake and I first started cutting my own hair when I was 16 years old. I had always had an affinity towards the hair industry and once I met my wife who was also a barber we knew that one day we would own our own shop. A couple years ago we first opened BuzzBone barbershop and currently have a suite in North Fort Worth. Fast forward to today and while we don’t have a full size barber shop yet we are one step closer to making our dream a reality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been hard, being a barber with covid shutdowns to trying to get our own shop open by ourselves. Financially it has been a struggle. But we have been grateful and with the success of our barber suite we believe in our dream and we will get to where we want to be.

We are an American traditional style old school barber shop. We focus on building a relationship with all our clients and treat them like family. I would say our diverse set of skills sets us apart from other shops no matter what hair texture style or length we can handle it and we our confident that it will be the best haircut and experience you have ever had!
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The list of things we love about the city is extensive haha but I would say the diverse selection of food. Me and my wife are huge foodies.
The least and I’m sure I’m not the only one out there with this opinion but traffic stinks for sure haha
