Rising Stars: Meet Campion Bond

Today we’d like to introduce you to Campion Bond. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Campion Bond, 32, is a music producer, A&R, and event coordinator from Dallas, Texas. A 2007 graduate of Cedar Hill High School, Campion began honing his craft as a member of the band (where he was on the drumline), before producing music full time. Citing his musical inspirations as Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West, Pharrell, and Rick Ruben, he created his own sound and began to produce various genres of music for major artists, projects, and soundtracks (Dallas and Beyond, The Carter High Movie, etc.). After establishing a name for himself as a music producer, Campion started Blexx Entertainment, an event coordination company geared towards establishing and promoting quality concerts and live events. Showcasing a multitude of his talents and business acumen, he created the ‘Camp Out Beat Battle’, a now expansive independent music producer’s showcase, and then negotiated a partnership with energy drink and marketing/sponsorship giant, Red Bull. He has worked with artists such as Joyner Lucas, Bun B, Royce Da 5’9, Tre Tha Truth, Kap G, Dave East, Nipsey Hussle, and more.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
COVID lol. When covid started a lot of businesses suffered, but fortunately I was able to dive into other aspects of entertainment instead of live entertainment. I focused more on music, cultivating more songs, and making beats. I created merchandise as well.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I wear many hats. I’m a music producer and artist. I received my first synchronization placement in May of 2021 on the hit tv show “All American” (now streaming on Netflix). I’m actively shooing music for TV and Film. I have another placement lined up for February of this year with another TV show called ”Homecoming” on CW. I also throw live shows and events with my company Blexx Entertainment. I also help people with their events, providing staff, security, and more. I have a podcast and own a network, an offshoot of Blexx Entertainment called Blexx Media. I’ll be branching out outside of Dallas to Atlanta in the fall of 2022 to throw the Camp Out Beat Battle, one of the staple events of Blexx Entertainment. I’m proud of all of it, and I’m excited for new growth in 2022. What sets me apart is that I don’t do any of this for the look. I’m passionate about this and would do it if no one was watching. I can’t say that about some of my peers.

What’s next?
Just gearing up for the trip to Atlanta. This is a huge opportunity to advance Blexx, and I’m excited about that. I also have a few concerts coming up… very large concerts. I’m excited for the future.
