I am a Dallas native I grew up in the love Field area of Dallas. I attended WT White high school where I graduated. I went on to cosmetology school for hair and make up where I received my license.. I went on to become a working hairstylist for 20+ years in the Dallas area the Highland Park area and various parts of Dallas where I manage large chains of hair salons. In 2013 I decided to launch my cosmetic line Carlita Cosmetics.. I took the role of CEO of my company very seriously I began to get recognition from various celebrities and today my business is successfully growing. We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I built my company from the ground up. It’s self funded I wouldn’t necessarily say that I had struggles, but with that said a lot of hard work has gone into it considering that only I have been the glue that has kept this together..
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The thing that sets me apart from other CEOs that is doing the same type of work as me is that I do everything on my own every photo that you see of me out there I personally took myself.. I am the face of my company. I shoot myself all the ads that you see across the Internet of me and of my products is all done by me and me alone. I don’t have a team or machine behind me. It’s all done by me. That is what makes me uniquely different from anyone else that puts me in a category all by myself, and I stand behind that and I take pride in that..
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Simply my faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what keeps me happy and makes me happy at the same time..
