Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassidy Cutler
Hi Cassidy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, my life revolved around softball. I played the sport for as long as I can remember and was pursuing a college career in it until a life-changing injury during my senior year forced me to step away from the game. After that, I went to college to begin earning a degree in nursing. However, when Covid hit, I realized nursing wasn’t the right path for me. That’s when I decided to follow my true passion—something I’ve always loved—the beauty industry.
From the moment I started hair school, I knew I had found where I was meant to be. I fell in love with helping people feel confident and really listening to what they wanted. My journey hasn’t been without challenges, though. My first job in a salon seemed like a dream opportunity but ended up being a toxic environment. That experience, while difficult, pushed me to take the leap and create something of my own.
Today, I’m proud to be an independent stylist, running my own suite, Lux Beauty by Cass. This journey has taught me resilience and the importance of pursuing what truly makes you happy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey to where I am today hasn’t been without its struggles. I endured a toxic salon environment and an ex-boss whose lack of support and respect made it difficult to thrive, forcing me to make tough decisions about my career. After stepping away from softball due to an injury and navigating the uncertainty of pursuing nursing during Covid, I worked hard to find my true path in the beauty industry. One of the biggest challenges came when I had to start over as an independent stylist with less than a week to plan—but that leap of faith turned out to be the most rewarding decision of my life. Despite the hardships, every obstacle shaped me into the resilient, passionate hairstylist I am today, running my own business, Lux Beauty by Cass, and living my dream of making others feel confident and beautiful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in advanced blonding techniques, whether it’s creating rich, lived-in blondes or achieving a bold, stunning platinum look with precision. What I’m most known for is truly listening to my clients, setting realistic expectations, and delivering results that meet or exceed those expectations, rather than over-promising and under-delivering. What sets me apart is the personalized experience I offer—unlike many stylists, I don’t work with an assistant, so my clients receive 100% of my focus and attention during their appointments. Additionally, my pricing is competitive and affordable for the Fort Worth area, allowing me to provide high-quality services that are accessible to more clients. It’s about creating beautiful results while building meaningful relationships, one client at a time.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory has to be always being surrounded my mom, dad and two older brothers. No matter what they are always there and always supporting me. every memory I have with them is a memory I will always be grateful for.
