Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Cagle.
Hi Chris, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been teaching martial arts professionally since 2007. I have an extensive competitive background in which I have ranked at the local, regional, state, national, and international level. I have owned my own school since 2018, thrived in spite of Covid, and have given away over $60,000 in training scholarships since the school’s conception.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There is nothing smooth about entrepreneurship. I’ve had business partners quit on me, betray me, and take over half of my money. My team has helped our school thrive while I fought and recovered from over 5 surgeries in a five year period. In that same time frame I’ve had two children and prioritized being a full time father while running a business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My business model is based off of three concepts.
Being loving.
Being encouraging.
And being Dangerous.
The first two things help you discover who you are and how you can help others.
And the third thing helps you protect yourself and others from anything that would try to destroy the first two things.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
You’re more capable than you think you are. You just have to show up for yourself and put in the work.
