Rising Stars: Meet Cudjoe Bamfo of Red Oak TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cudjoe Bamfo.

Hi Cudjoe, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always had a creative eye, but growing up in Ghana, the education system naturally steered me toward the sciences. My creativity didn’t really have an outlet until college, when my roommate started a media business. Even then, I only tapped into it lightly.

Everything changed when, after my undergraduate studies, I became the marketing lead for a fitness start-up in Manchester Connecticut. That role forced me to do many things I wasn’t quite accustomed to doing, including picking up a camera, creating content, and thinking visually 24/7. The moment I started producing work that actually increased the gym’s visibility and credibility in the community, something clicked-I felt completely in my element, and I never looked back.

When the gym shut down unexpectedly, I took it as my sign to go all in. I spent the next few years sharpening my skills, investing in gear, studying the craft, and learning how to create consistently excellent visuals.

Then came my own wedding in 2019. Experiencing the emotion, storytelling, and artistry of wedding photography and film up close made me fall in love with the genre. That moment inspired me to launch Lovebox Films- a place where couples can receive a first-class, cinematic experience through both photo and video.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been a pleasant one, filled with a lot of learning along the way. Entrepreneurship can be mentally challenging at times, especially when you’re constantly communicating with people and managing different personalities. But honestly, that’s where I’ve grown the most, and I’m grateful for it.

Over time, I’ve learned how to properly label difficult client interactions or unsuccessful sales calls, instead of letting them define me or my work. I’ve learned how to pull the positives from every situation, even the tough ones. That mindset has not only helped me grow as a creative, but also as a business owner and as a person.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a creative entrepreneur who provides visual solutions for individuals and corporations looking to elevate their visual appeal. On the corporate side, that can mean anything from brand content to storytelling pieces that help a business connect better with its audience.

But at the core of everything I do is my wedding film company; that’s my true passion. I created it to assist couples in preserving one of the most meaningful days of their lives in a way that feels cinematic, emotional, and true to who they are. There’s something special about being trusted to capture those real, once-in-a-lifetime moments, and it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

Whether I’m working with a brand or a bride, my goal is always the same: to serve with patience, kindness, and excellence, and to create visuals that genuinely resonate with the people who see them.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is that people have positive interactions with me on a daily basis. At the end of the day, beyond the cameras and the creative work, I care deeply about how I treat people. As a Christian, that’s something I intentionally aspire to in my business — to show the love of Christ through my patience, my kindness, and the way I serve others.

Whether it’s a client, a collaborator, or someone I’m meeting for the first time, I want every interaction to reflect the values I stand on. If people walk away feeling seen, respected, and cared for, then I know I’m doing what I’m called to do.
