Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Roundtree. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Originally from South Florida, Daniel came to the great state of Texas at a young age to attend Southern Methodist University. At SMU Daniel studied international business and played Football under the June Jones era. After falling in love with Texas, Daniel began a well-rounded sales career that eventually led him to Real estate. Daniel’s love for real estate and sales come with over 8 years of selling experience and an ardent desire to provide exquisite service & performance. Daniel’s initial interest in real estate started in college after meeting Brian buffini who just happened to be the father of Daniel’s college roommate Aj. Conversations and success stories with Brian sparked Daniel’s interest to dive into researching everything possible about real estate and investing before launching his own career and eventually becoming an agent.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a smooth road in real estate! Starting up as an agent is essentially opening your own business from scratch. There have been many struggles including leveraging leaving a full-time 6 figure salary for a commission-only position with endless potential. Overcoming the obstacle of being a new agent and convincing customers to choose skill and work ethic over more seasoned agents long resumé. Fighting to market homes in an extremely strong sellers’ market. Working with buyers in a market where you can sell a home 5 times and get outbid regardless of the work put in. The list goes on and on and that’s not even mentioning also dealing with a personal life that always includes real-world problems. Regardless of the obstacles, real estate is an amazing industry that always rewards a diligent work ethic. I love this industry, the work, the struggles, and the reward!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a real estate agent, I feel I bring vibrance to a seemingly dull industry. The customers I work with always receive a unique connection and my full attention no matter how busy I am or how many clients I’m representing. I specialize in finding the right home for my clients based on a realistic budget and parameters that fit their style.
I think what sets me apart from other agents is my people skills and work ethic from being a former athlete. Working in corporate America for fortune 100 companies prior to becoming an agent provided me with the people skills to connect with anyone from any walk of life. I have lived in 5 different states coast to coast and have an extremely wide range of interest and experiences that allow me to connect to almost anyone quickly. As a former athlete, I never shy away from work or a challenge so there is no such thing as a difficult client to me. The challenge of pleasing my clients pushes me to always perform at my best and give over 100% from the very beginning of meeting any new contact. As an agent referrals are just as important as pleasing your clients and I implement that mindset in every contact I make.
For me, I hope to give every client I work with an experience that they can’t help but talk about with their friends and family. The only way to do that exceptionally well is to listen and to understand that buying a home as huge intimate decision that most people only perform a few times in their life. Since it’s such a huge moment in life, it’s imperative that I make that moment an experience worth remembering!
