Today we’d like to introduce you to DeShaun Walker.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I would like to dedicate this article to my late Nephew Albert Walker who passed away on July 25th of this year. I love you, miss you & pray for you every day. I started Deep Voice Radio back in 2020 in the early stages of the Covid -19 pandemic. My first Podcast was the DSWalk Show, a blend of Sports, News, and Entertainment. I was pumping out episode three times a week between Spreaker and Anchor Podcast Platform. Then from there, I develop a Basketball Podcast called Double Dibble Podcast dedicated to all the basketball lovers like myself, covering the NBA, NCAA, and Euro league. Double Dribble Podcast out of all my podcast is the most successful podcast I’d done so far due to it being picked up by other platforms and monetize. Last Podcast I created along with my cousin Dame Jefferson was Hip Hop Talk The Movement, a podcast dedicated to Independent artists ranging from Music to Chefs, Authors, Poets, Other Podcasts, and anyone who is out here making a difference in their Neighborhoods or city. Hip Hop Talk is not only the most popular podcast I created but the one show that has the opportunity to reach new heights and be special.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has been one of bumpiest roads that I ever been but I wouldn’t changed a thing because this journey was made for me. The main Obstacles/Challenges I face is being consistent with my work. I have certain days when I do my shows, also working my two jobs so being consistent is a must. I get days where I come home from work tired but, I have to push through, change my vibe and get ready to entertain my audience. I have to be on point on my research, questions, edits, and most in importantly make sure my audience are entertain, also make sure my guest are ready to go, relax, and comfortable with being interview on multiple platforms.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do everything on all my Podcasts from hosting, audio, camera/ streaming. Hip Hop Talk I have a co-host Dame Jefferson and we share the responsibility of finding Guest to come on are show on Tai & Shaun Show I have a co-host Taimon Turner. I’m proud of myself for starting Deep Voice Radio because if this was 8,9 or 10 yrs. ago. I would’ve never done it or I’ll be dreaming about it. What set me apart from others is that I’m a Jack of All trades, I don’t count on anyone to do the technical stuff but me.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
