Dexter , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My passion for creativity and pushing boundaries has been a core part of who I am from the very beginning. LXK was born in 2024 as a refection of that drive & Vision. We are dedicated to transforming innovative ideas into reality. We’re committed to helping our clients bring their unique visions to life. Whether that be a photoshoot, cinematic film, family portrait, podcast or just a creative session. We’re here to turn your vision into reality!
Born and raised in Dallas Tx, owning a studio was always a dream of mine. It did not come easy at all. Many years of preparation and consistency made this dream come true. There were & still are challenges, obstacles, long nights, moments of doubt, but I remember this is exactly what I dreamt of . Muhammad Ali once said “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life”
So I strive everyday to be a bit better than yesterday.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every business must face challenges & obstacles, we have faced many ourselves, especially starting a brand new business and idea. A big challenge we face is reaching our target audience, especially as a new self funded business it can be tricky explaining what all is possible at LXK. When people ask what LXK is exactly, it can be difficult for some to fathom it’s exactly what you want it to be! We want our studio experience to be truly unique.
We have faced many challenges from rejection, funding, non-believers the list goes on, but as long as you believe in your vision & willing to put the work in you are unstoppable.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As CEO of LXK, my primary responsibilities include setting the overall vision and strategic direction of the company. I am responsible for making executive decisions, overseeing operations, building and leading our company in the right direction, and ensuring that business goals are achieved. I focus on guiding the organization towards growth and success while ensuring effectiveness.
I specialize in helping others achieve their goals & become the best versions of themselves. Something I may be known for is being highly motivated and proactive. Consistently demonstrating a strong work ethic & relentless drive to achieve my goals. “Self-starter” I also have a passion for Music so you may have see some of my earlier work under TFE Danja.
I am most proud of my Family! “They make me Better!” I am also proud of the person I have became. From a dark past to a bright future I am very proud!
What matters most to you? Why?
My Family for sure! My kids and wife mean the world to me! They are my motivation and reason why I work so hard. I want them to know anything is possible. The mind is a very powerful and valuable tool. This is why we need to use it wisely! My upbringing wasn’t typical by any means so it’s important to me that my kids follow their passion & what truly makes them happy! Life is succinct so make the most of it!
