Today we’d like to introduce you to Donnie Farrow.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started in the music industry in 2009. I had a passion for music and helping others. So, I was trying to figure I could do in the music field to help artists. So, I spent countless nights researching How to start an indie label. That’s what I did I gained a lot of traction, helped artists, networked in the music industry with a lot of known professionals. Then I decided over the years at the time That My label wasn’t where I wanted it to be, so I started focusing on artist and brand development, while still working on resources and how to build a label more professionally. Here I am today managing an artist named Kalix and also helping artists build and develop their brands.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
So, there’s been some struggles along the way. For instance, investing into resources that some worked, and some didn’t and learning to structure and build from that. Their was times were I just thought I wasn’t going to be where I am today in the music industry. But now I know what it takes to make and break an artist into the music industry with a solid career.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m mainly known for helping musicians and artists achieve their dreams in the music industry. I’m proud to say I have a big network of supporters and some Really great business partners. I also wanna say I’m thankful for all that’s helped me build in this industry and all the resources to make an artist have a career. What sets me apart from others is I wanna help artists build a career. Without having to dive in and fail multiple times like I did when I first started helping artists and building my brand.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I see myself being full-time in the music industry and eventually self-employed. I have gotten to the point I can help artists get major exposure from billboard signage to on TV with their music videos to major distribution and the lists goes on and on.
I see a lot of indie artists that are willing to invest in their brand and work with people in the industry like myself succeeding and getting to accomplish their dreams they always imagined.
