Today we’d like to introduce you to Elijah Hanif.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in South Florida, Elijah is a self taught photographer with an affinity for wildlife, landscapes, and
nature. As the son of a journalist and fiber artist, creative expression was a prominent theme of Elijah’s
childhood. Beginning his photo career as an event photographer working the Florida night club scene (lots of crazy stories to talk about here), his visual appetite grew quickly as his photographic knowledge expanded. Relocating to Atlanta, Georgia (a very eye opening, pivotal point of my life with plenty to talk about also), inspired him to add architecture and street photography to his portfolio. The inspiration of the Atlanta arts scene also sparked the beginning of his exhibition journey as a gallery artist. Currently residing in Dallas, Texas, Elijah enjoys capturing city skylines, exotic wildlife, tranquil views, and riveting stories.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Since moving to Dallas I’ve been focused on Dfw cityscapes but I’ve been captivated by wildlife and nature for my entire career as a photographer. I am most known locally for my “light paint” city portraits that create unique futuristic visual of iconic Dallas cityscapes and buildings. I am most proud of my Bird photography and the success I’ve had photographing bald eagle, owls, and hawks. I think one thing that sets me apart from other photographers is my versatility to shoot a wide range of subject matter including cars, people, architecture, and animals.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Im still looking for a mentor but I have had success networking at art shows
