Rising Stars: Meet Emily Daniel-DeWeese

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Daniel-DeWeese.

Hi Emily, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Baking has always been a love of mine! I started in the kitchen at 4 or 5 years old making box mix cakes with my mother. From there my love for baking only grew by the day! At 12 years old I started taking orders from neighbors and friends hoping to gain all the knowledge I could! After high school, I went to pastry school in Dallas at el Centro while also working at the Gaylord Texan full-time. Following college graduation, I started at Eataly in Dallas for a year until I decided it was time for my next adventure!!! That Is how Stacked Cake and Confection Co was created.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a small business is never easy! Creating your own brand and making all the decisions is tricky. Although the freedom of being your own boss is worth all of the late nights, stressful decisions, and big risks. With being your own boss, no one is there to tell you what your next step should be and that can be scary but worth all of the anxiety!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Stacked Cake and Confection Co. is a bakery based out of the Keller trading company in Keller, TX specializing in all things dessert from cakes, cookies, and cupcakes to specialty pastries! our goal is to elevate your next event/party with our luxury dessert experience. Everything that we offer is also available in allergen-friendly options so no one feels excluded!

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
There is lots of love, passion, and time put into all of our handcrafted pastries everything is made from scratch and to order! I am so thankful for every order we get because dreams are possible but not without the support of a community!
