Today we’d like to introduce you to FALLON LEE.
Hi FALLON, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After being diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and having a very sick child, I dove full force into healing through food and holistic living. I found a lot of incredible information, progress, and encouragement, but eventually felt “stuck”. The women’s wellness world felt confusing, limiting, and often not supportive to women’s biology and needs – prioritizing thinness and calorie counting over true nourishment. This led me to pursue more ancestral eating, food freedom, and learning how to truly nourish my body on a deep level. I soon realized thousands of other women felt the exact same way and were desperate for wholesome and simple recipes that didn’t feel steeped in diet culture dogma. Out of this need, Fallon’s Table was founded in 2020, based on deeply nourishing real food recipes that aren’t restrictive, but are delicious, nutrient-dense, and based off all your favorite foods in their most wholesome form!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has certainly had ups and downs, although I count myself incredibly fortunate to have the business I do today. The biggest challenge is being present online and in my business, while still being present in my real life as a momma, wife, and friend. Social media can certainly be challenging, and so lately I find myself leaning more into long-form deep connection – email lists, blogging, etc.!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My biggest claim to fame is being the creator of the original viral bone broth hot chocolate! I made that recipe and shared it on Instagram in July of 2020, and it’s one of the reasons my account gained traction like it did. This was before I set out to develop real food cookbooks, which are now my business pride and joy! I have four real food cookbooks that make healing through food accessible, full of nourishing recipes your entire family will love, without the diet culture drama!
I spent years on the diet hamster wheel, only to still feel confused and sick.
Once I flipped those rules on their head – focusing on true, deep nourishment and food freedom, my health changed for the long-haul.
No more quick fixes, just delicious, enjoyable, whole food.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’m an in-person type of gal, so I have loved connecting with real life women through church, friends, etc. to build a tangible community of women who come alongside me!
