Rising Stars: Meet Gina Diaz of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Diaz

Hi Gina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Gina Diaz, a proud Dallas, TX native. Growing up in a Christ-centered home, my father instilled in me the values of hard work and perseverance. He came to this country with nothing, and through faith and determination, built a successful business from the ground up. His journey showed me that when you put God first and work hard, success will always follow.

Life has brought its challenges, including teen pregnancy and a domestic violence relationship, as I tried to navigate life on my own terms. But every path eventually led me back to God’s way. Today, I lead a ministry called DiscipleHer, where we guide Women in the principles of becoming disciples, grounded in the teachings of Jesus. I’m also the host of the DiscipleHer podcast, where we share powerful testimonies and stories of how we came to know God. Through heartfelt conversations, we inspire and uplift others on their faith journeys.
This was all made possible by fully surrendering my life to God and allowing Him to direct my path.

Here’s a verse that resonates with our mission:
“THEREFORE GO AND MAKE ​DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, ​BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF ​THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND ​OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.”

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t been smooth. Leaving a domestic violence relationship was one of the hardest things I’ve faced. It shook my confidence and made me question my worth. But even in that dark time, God reminded me that I was created with purpose.

Breaking free was the first step in regaining my confidence. Through faith, prayer, and the support of loved ones, I began to rediscover my strength and worth in Christ. This experience not only restored my confidence but also inspired me to help other women through my ministry, DiscipleHer, so they too can know their God-given purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I mentor women through my upcoming coaching programs, host monthly Bible studies, and have some exciting news—my book “Running with God”, a guide for new believer’s , will be released this winter and available for pre-order soon! I specialize in working with youth, driven by my own experiences as a troubled teen, and I have a deep passion for guiding young people. What I’m most proud of is seeing my daughter look up to me as a Woman of God.

What sets me apart? What sets me apart is that I’m just a girl from Dallas, and I am as real as it gets, speaking bold and spreading the love of Jesus wherever I go.

Most people who know me might be surprised to learn that despite my high-energy and extroverted persona, I cherish quiet, reflective moments where I spend time in solitude, especially during my Bible study or when I’m working on new podcast content. It’s in those quieter times that I recharge and gain deeper insights.
