Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Ferriman
Hi Jamie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
In 2022, our family endured a tragic loss of our daughter Bridgett, which deeply affected all of us and caused a whirlwind of emotions. I found myself lost and struggling to cope with the pain. After a year and a half, I realized I needed something to focus on in order to keep my mind occupied. That’s when I discovered the art of candle-making through an informative article. I delved into the process and immediately became captivated by its calming and distracting nature. As I made candles for our home, I was amazed at how well they turned out. I began sharing my newfound passion with friends, family, and co-workers. They were so impressed that they started requesting candles of their own, sparking a newfound interest in my products. Encouraged by the support, I decided to honor my daughter’s wish of helping others by donating a portion of the proceeds to a charity dedicated to those struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Running a small business requires strength and determination. Turbulence is inevitable. While I faced challenges, they were not the most difficult I have encountered. This year, my biggest struggles were finding the right wick, the perfect niche, effectively marketing and expanding my one-woman operation.

My skills and creativity have been refined to create exceptional, top-of-the-line candles. Each product is meticulously crafted to showcase a 3D effect, setting it apart from ordinary container candles. The development process has also granted me mastery in handcrafting delicate flowers without relying on molds, leading to exquisite and one-of-a-kind designs. My candles are renowned for their potent fragrance and beautiful design – they are strong enough to fill a room even when unlit, yet never overpowering. Achieving the ideal balance of aroma, whether lit or unlit.
Inspired by my son’s allergies to store-bought products, I have expanded into creating a range of natural bath essentials. From bars of soap to whipped foaming sugar scrubs, natural body butters, and lip balms, to now venturing into natural shampoo and conditioner. My aim is to elevate your daily bathing ritual with luxurious and nourishing natural body care products.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
Living in the middle of Keller and Fort Worth is incredibly enjoyable. The individuals we encounter are exceptionally generous and fascinating. Within a 20 mile radius, there is an abundance of things to explore and experience. Whether you’re in search of a great restaurant, shopping destinations, or fun activities, there is always something to keep you entertained. Personally, I love living in this area.
