Today we’d like to introduce you to Jared Smith.
Hi Jared, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a retired NFL player that played for Seattle Seahawks, atlanta falcons, and Dallas cowboys. When I played with Dallas, I retired with Tony romo. When I was finished, I got my real estate license to help myself find investments. After getting my license, I had a lot of players reaching out asking for help with their real estate needs. And I worked with a lot of players in my first year. But after thinking, I branched out to the general public and that’s where it boomed for me. Never really had intentions of working full time as a realtor after retiring from football but after working with a lot of players the first year, I found my passion for helping people. So I dove in and started helped lots of clients from then to today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a roller coaster in the real estate business. I had this passion for helping people and there were times I was so swamped with real estate, or finally had time to breath to catch up. Times I have had time to breathe, I utilize those times to go meet with my professional sport players, agents, financial advisors, or just nfl teams. I always keep my self incredibly busy with work. I enjoy everything I do because I work with incredible people, such as professional sports players, ceo of Fortune 500 companies, and music entertainers. A lot of these people trust me and that’s the key to my success. They trust me that I’ve been in their shoes, and I’m not going to act like a fan or pester them about their job. And that trust is huge for me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a realtor in North Texas and one of the top agents in Texas. The thing I’m most proud of is the trust and confidentiality that I can give my high end clients. It’s amazing working with all these great people and finding them a place to call home.
