Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnny Flores.
Hi Johnny, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Starting a business was a longtime dream that I hoped to achieve in the long run. I wanted to hone my skill set and learn every facet regarding skincare and aesthetics. The business side of this industry is extensive and multi-level ranging from private spas, corporate hotels, franchises, med spas, etc. The amount of knowledge that I acquired throughout these experiences was rewarding and beneficial to my growth. During this entire development of character building and expansion, I had one thought that resonated the most with me. Freedom. The freedom of expression with my craft in every form that it could take me. I had many doors closed; many chapters ended, and the moment that I started to believe in myself, and trust in my truth, the best doors opened. Becoming an entrepreneur is the most challenging phase of my life that I knew I was ready to embark on.
This vision developed into a way of life. The understanding of how your skin can dramatically change how a person feels and presents themselves into the world. We have a conditioned dogma of what beauty is and if we can even attain such expectations of ourselves. I’m a result-driven Esthetician, pragmatic in how I handle every skin type while coaching throughout the process. I value my client’s loyalty from getting my first membership to seeing my first review. It is truly rewarding. Being able to change a person’s confidence and make them feel beautiful makes it all worth it. My clients are left feeling like they matter and are of value during their skincare journey with me by their side.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Your perception of obstacles makes a difference. They either are ran by emotions or your thoughts, sometimes both. How you react decides the course of overcoming your fear-based obstacles or a lesson-learning approach. The beauty industry has taken a hit these past few years with the climate of this reality. Learning to stay ahead of trends, social changes, and pivotal movements is essential for success in this ever-changing environment.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Targeted, results-driven treatments are at the forefront when a client is under my care. Overcoming hyperpigmentation is one of the hardest skin issues to treat. Ethnic skin is durable yet sensitive so you have to watch out for what you do with it. Discoloration and hyperpigmentation are my bread and butter. My cup of tea would be my acne clients. I pride myself on giving direct and feasible skin remedies. From the all-natural approach to a more chemical preference, here at Del Carmen Skin, these custom facials will take care of your skincare needs.
What were you like growing up?
