Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Wells.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
First I want to say thank you again for this opportunity. Joshdabarber is a licensed professional Barber, owner of a hair care business, teacher , inspirational speaker and entrepreneur . I have been licensed since 17 years old, I got my start in the pandemic during Covid 19 I realized having a trade or something of your own outside of the normal work field is very important. I have taken on the responsibility to show others just because you don’t go to college doesn’t mean you can’t have a successful career. Before I graduated high school my career took off from my work being on television to touring with celebrities so remember what God has for you is for you !
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has not been a smooth road. I believe success is 90 percent spiritual. 10 percent work, But I have learned to walk in my own path because whenever you get distracted by other success you’re getting off of your path . One thing I have learned is never look at someone’s story and want their glory because you never know what they have been through. My father passed away all of a sudden in 2022. Business can sometimes be up or down at times , family or friends can get jealous while you’re on your way up etc . So never look at others story .
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
So I am the youngest in the game I am I licensed barber and cosmetologist . Specialize in men’s grooming, clean fades nice haircuts . Most of all making my clients feel better than they did before they sat in my chair. Also, I love to work on set of television shows or even in the background of photo shoot as a creative director. The most proud moment I’ve had thus far is seeing the smile on my mother’s face when I do what I do. I believe what sets me apart from others is being humble, and knowing where my help comes from, but most of all letting my work speak for itself instead of doing the talking
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success, in my mind is defined by knowing that the choices I made , the words I say , and the actions I take are all for an end goal .
