Today we’d like to introduce you to Katrina Ceaser.
Hi Katrina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Katrina! Born and raised Southern Californian. I currently reside in North Dallas with my husband, toddler, and Pomeranian.
I originally went to school to become a Nurse. Working with in the medical field with newborns and moms, I grew passionate about capturing those fleeting moments of motherhood. In 2015, my husband whom graduated from the Art Institute of Hollywood encouraged me to start my own photography business. I started off shooting for my friends and family, before I knew it my photography business took off.
Working full time at the hospital and shooting on my days off I became very busy. My love for capturing breathtaking moments made it all worth it. After having my daughter, I decided to quit my job at the hospital and go full time with photography, all the while enjoying the joys of motherhood.
I focus primarily on maternity, newborn, and families. I love capturing the “in-between” moments at all of my sessions, and my style is a mix between posed & candid captures.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Capturing moments that are timeless has definitely been smooth. That part is easy! There has been a huge learning curve when it comes to running a business, operating legally, and juggling all of the hats that an entrepreneur wears. Not to mention there’s tons of insanely talented photographers out there, it’s hard not to compare yourself to others. These hurdles have motivated me to keep going and keep growing. I’m always learning and adapting!

I am a Dallas-based photographer. I specialize in maternity, newborn, and families. I strive on capturing I strive on capturing real emotions and connections by giving my clients fun prompts that will bring out their personalities. I am more than just a photographer to my clients- I am a personal hype woman, a dress fluffer, and a teeth checker. I support them through every step of the planning process so they can have the session they have always dreamed of. I give my clients my all and I absolutely love what I do…
Most of my clients become great friends. This is not a business transaction to me. This is my art and in order to feel comfortable in front of my lens, I make a genuine effort to get to know my clients on a personal level. I am very proud of the relationships that I develop with my clients and I am so grateful that my job allows me to meet so many wonderful people!
My style is a mixture of candid and gently posed so you get the best of both worlds!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being able to genuinely connect with my clients while creating beautiful memories that they can look back on through generations makes me happy. I love the excitement they get when they see the essence of their fleeting moments captured. It’s such a rewarding feeling.
