Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Jackson.
Hi Kim, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Since I was a child, I knew I wanted to pursue entrepreneurship. There’s always been something intriguing to me about owning a business. I was brought up to go to school so I could get a good career and work in that career field until I retire. After working a few corporate jobs, I could easily see, that life was not for me. It wasn’t challenging or rewarding enough for me.
After quitting my corporate job, I started residential cleaning as a way to keep steady income while I worked on my dream of entrepreneurship. I had several ideas but I was waiting on “the one.” A few months into cleaning homes, I started to realize, I actually liked it and was good at it! I wasn’t just cleaning homes; I was helping make life easier for a lot of people. From the elderly couple that couldn’t physically clean their home to the single mom that spends so much time at work that she chooses to cling to her children when she is home rather than clean. Through cleaning, I discovered doing business with a purpose.
Through the relationships, I built with my clients, came more clients. My business quickly grew and became more demanding than I expected so I began to hire other cleaners to help with jobs. Today, my crew and I continue to provide residential cleaning services and have began to service commercial clients as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has not been smooth but it has been worth it. As with any business, we experienced growing pains. The start of the Covid-19 pandemic presented many bumps in the road for the business. From supply shortages to staffing challenges, we experienced so many pitfalls. I have been challenged to come up with processes to overcome these obstacles now and in the future. It’s taught me to be prepared, for anything, and to adapt quickly.
I’ve learned so much patience on this journey. I’ve also learned that one person can’t and shouldn’t do it all. You have to build processes that will set you up for success and trust them to work. One of the practices I implemented, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, is virtual consultations. We offer this as a free service for anyone interested in cleaning services.
Challenges in business are inevitable but the way you handle those challenges can make or break your business and set you apart from the rest. It is my goal to change and grow as the needs of our clients and the world changes.

Cleaning Pros Group, LLC provides professional cleaning services in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex for residential and commercial properties. We do one-time cleans, routine cleans, move in and outs, deep cleans, and other cleans that are more specific to our clients’ needs. As we continue to grow, we look forward to utilizing more technology to make it even easier for our clients to book consultations, view past/current appointments, and to make changes to services. We’re currently in the process of redesigning our website so that prospective and current clients can have any information they need, at their fingertips!
