Rising Stars: Meet Lee Leprechaun

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee Leprechaun.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I decided to get into producing after seeing some of my favorite artist perform. Watching them fueled my passion. It excited me, and I fell in love with keeping people entertained on the dance floor. Over time, I picked up a lot of tips and techniques from fellow artists. I’ve accomplished a lot in the last few years, but I’m nowhere near where I’d like to be. I hope to be on festival lineups all over the world one day, entertaining the largest crowds and creating a positive experience for a lot of people. As of late, I’ve started my own label to help artist get a start in the music world.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being an artist and label owner is never a smooth path. You win and lose all the time but have to keep going regardless of what is happening in your day-to-day life. I’ve been taken advantage of for my kindness a number of times in the industry. I’ve had people hassle me for money, try to steal my equipment, and just straight out lie to my face. It’s not all bad, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some genuine and kind people along the way. They will stick with me all the way to top if I ever reach it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a producer, DJ, and label owner. I’ve been producing since 2018, Dj since 2016, and label owner since 2021. I’m most known for my house music, but I’ll dabble in drum and bass, midtempo, and dubstep. I’m most proud of my set at Lights All Night currently. Got to perform recently for New Year’s. That set was amazing and a real dream come true. As for what sets me apart from others. Probably my drive. I work at being an artist daily. Consistency is key in the artist world. If it’s not an everyday thing, you’ll be left behind. There so many talented people out there that you have to work daily to keep up.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Most important lesson I’ve learned along your journey would be not to trust just anyone. Not everyone is out there to help you regardless of what they say. A lot of people have alternative motives. Keep those who have been on your side close to you.

Pricing:

  • Dj sets $150-$350 an hour depending on location and if travel is needed.
  • Songs sell for $1-$3 on average
