Rising Stars: Meet Lesli Bills of Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lesli Bills.

Hi Lesli , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey in multifamily property management began in 2014 with Grassano Property Management, where I started as a part-time leasing agent. What began as an entry-level role quickly evolved as I discovered how much I enjoyed the industry. Over time, I moved into positions including marketing director and property manager, eventually becoming involved in new property acquisitions. Those early years gave me a strong foundation and a deep understanding of both operations and resident experience.

Looking for new challenges and opportunities for growth, I relocated to Dallas, TX, to join Aflalo Realty. During my time there, I managed a renovation project, assisted with lease-up efforts, and progressed into leadership roles including regional manager and asset manager. As an asset manager, I oversaw a 487-unit portfolio while working closely with a third-party management company. That experience broadened my perspective and strengthened my strategic and financial approach to property management.

Driven by a desire to build something more hands-on and relationship-focused, I later helped open Revival Property Company and Carpediem Homes. I was heavily involved in building the companies from the ground up — hiring team members, developing policies and procedures, and supporting portfolio growth. In 2021, I earned my real estate license, which allowed me to further expand my skill set. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to sell more than $10 million in properties, an achievement that complemented my background in property management.

Overall, my career has been shaped by a combination of operational experience, leadership development, and a genuine passion for the industry. Each step has built on the last, ultimately leading me to where I am today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road, but the challenges have been some of the most valuable parts of my journey. Property management is an industry that constantly tests your problem-solving skills, patience, and adaptability. Early on, one of the biggest challenges was simply learning to navigate the unpredictable nature of the business — balancing resident needs, owner expectations, financial performance, and operational realities all at once.

Relocating to Dallas was another major transition. Starting fresh in a new market meant rebuilding relationships, proving myself again, and adjusting to different properties, teams, and dynamics. While that period came with its share of pressure and uncertainty, it ultimately helped me grow both professionally and personally.

Opening Revival Property Company introduced an entirely new level of challenge. Building systems, creating structure, hiring the right people, and scaling responsibly requires constant decision-making and a long-term mindset. One of the biggest lessons has been understanding that growth is not just about expanding a portfolio — it’s about maintaining quality, culture, and consistency along the way.

Overall, the obstacles have reinforced the importance of resilience, flexibility, and staying focused on solutions rather than setbacks. In many ways, the challenges are what shape you the most.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
One of my favorite things about Revival Property Company is that we genuinely reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. Our team is made up of individuals with different backgrounds, perspectives, and strengths, and we intentionally create an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves. That authenticity translates directly into how we work — we’re collaborative, adaptable, and deeply committed to doing great work.
As a boutique property management company, we’re able to take a more hands-on, relationship-driven approach. We’re not trying to be the biggest; we’re focused on being exceptional. That means providing thoughtful service to our clients, creating positive experiences for residents, and maintaining a culture where our team feels valued and empowered. At the end of the day, our success is built on people — both the ones we work with and the ones we serve.
