Today we’d like to introduce you to Leslie Padron.
Hi Leslie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have enjoyed serving in the service industry for the past ten years.
I love meeting people of all backgrounds and growing through the experiences we share. I enjoy serving people, physically and spiritually. I love celebrating people and making them feel loved. I love being a part of someone’s process and milestones in life, supporting and celebrating.
I am a Native Mexican American who loves the celebrations of my culture. Lasso and Lush is inspired by my Texas pride and Mexican heritage. Lasso and Lush embraces the similarities shared in the ranch style life that both Mexico and Texas offer.
At Lasso and Lush we are invested in making your event one of a kind. We provide curated drink menus featuring handcrafted signature cocktails inspired by my passion for blending fresh local ingredients and premium spirits
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
For the most part is has been easy starting and coming up with fun ideas to use for marketing or curating new drinks. The Struggle is getting myself out there and booked while staying true and authentic to not only myself but my business.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work in the Dental field full time while running Lasso and Lush part time. I am known to really give my heart and best when it comes to customer service. Being in the dental field for ten years has developed and continues to build my compassion to continue to serve people. I have bartended/waitressed for ten years as well as a part time, as many times as I have tried to take a break from it, my heart pulls me back to the industry. Again, going back to the enjoyment of serving
I am most proud of bringing people together and loving them through every season and celebration. truly making them feel extra special for their events.
I think what sets me apart from others would be that I am very detailed about my craft and cater to my customers as if they were my family. Being authentic and transparent in every service, detail and idea for their event.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I listen to 2819, a church podcast, keeping Christ as my foundation.
As far as books.. “Dare to lead” is about leadership not being about titles, status or control, it’s about courage. Courageous leaders build trust, create safe spaces for difficult conversations, and lead with vulnerability, empathy and integrity.
Another good book is “Be my guest” Disney’s approach to success is built on creating exceptional guest experiences. The book explains how businesses in any industry can use disneys service principles to build loyalty and stand out.
