Rising Stars: Meet Lindsey Shaw

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Shaw.

Lindsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was still serving on Active Duty in the Army, I bought my first camera in 2019. I was taking pictures of friends and families. I was still trying to find my niche with photography. I wanted to be a professional photographer but wasn’t putting in the effort to be a business. In 2020, I had my first boudoir session. I felt so beautiful and confident. When I left the military last year and moved back to Texas, I dove headfirst into solely shooting boudoir and getting my business off the ground. I wanted all women to feel beautiful and love the skin they are in. I love seeing women light up when they see how truly beautiful they are and I could never do anything else.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, being a business owner is tough and a lot of work. I have grown my business so much in the past year, I never imagined I would have made it so far in a year but I definitely have a long way to go.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I solely photograph boudoir. I am proud of myself for working so hard in the past year and recently learned I am one of the top 10 boudoir photographers in Texas.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have had so many mentors from Kelli Marie Connor, Alex Loveland, and Jenn Bruno Smith. My clients and friends are amazing and have help support my business even in the smallest ways. I am so grateful.
