Rising Stars: Meet Lindsey Williams of Coppell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Williams.

Hi Lindsey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my nursing career in the ER over 17 years ago – fast-paced, high-pressure, and honestly, a little soul-draining long-term. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2016, I found aesthetics and realized medicine didn’t have to feel like burnout to be meaningful.

Over the next decade, I built my career as an injector and bio-identical hormone therapy provider in DFW. When training other providers as the clinic grew, I kept hearing of the same problem: others were entering this industry without the right training, support, or standards; or they didn’t know how to even get started in aesthetics to begin with.

So I decided to change that.

I co-founded the American Academy of Aesthetics (AAOA), a fully accredited training academy focused on training medical aesthetics the right way: hands-on education, medical-only training for injectables, and a strong emphasis on safety and ethics.

Today, I’m a lead educator and national speaker, helping medical professionals step out of burnout and into careers they’re proud of, while also pushing for higher standards in an industry that desperately needs it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. There have been a lot of highs, but also moments where I questioned if I should keep going. Nursing school and Nurse Practitioner school (with 2 babies!) were both incredibly tough – I remember feeling overwhelmed more times than I can count, but it ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. The nursing field opens so many doors, and there’s such a need for people who genuinely care.

As I transitioned into aesthetics and eventually business ownership, the challenges didn’t go away, they just changed. Becoming a business owner brought a whole new level of pressure, responsibility, and uncertainty. There are moments where it feels heavy, where you’re figuring things out in real time and hoping you’re making the right decisions.

But through all of it, I’ve learned to just keep moving forward. My advice to anyone going through something hard is to keep your eyes on the goal, but take it one day at a time. It’s like climbing a mountain… you don’t see the top every day, and sometimes it feels endless, but you just keep putting one foot in front of the other. And eventually, you get there. Starting is often the hardest part, but taking that first step is what changes everything.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Family Nurse Practitioner, Professional Laser Technician, educator, and co-founder of American Academy of Aesthetics (AAOA), where we train estheticians and medical professionals in aesthetic medicine- from injectables and laser technology to regenerative treatments and business development.

I specialize in advanced aesthetic education, particularly in Laser Hair Removal licensing, aesthetic injectables and complication management. I’m known for being both highly clinical and very real with my students. I don’t just teach how to do a treatment, I focus heavily on the WHY, safety, and what to do when things don’t go as planned. That’s something I’m really passionate about, because it directly impacts patient outcomes and the integrity of this industry.

What I’m most proud of is building an accredited training academy that prioritizes real world education. We’ve created a space where medical professionals can learn hands-on, ask questions, build confidence, and leave truly prepared- not just “certified”.

What sets me apart is that I’ve actually done the work at every level. I’ve been the student, the bedside nurse, the new injector, the experienced injector, the trainer, the employee, and now the leader. I understand both the clinical side and the business side, and I teach from real-world experience, not just theory. I’m also very intentional about maintaining high standards, especially when it comes to who should be performing medical aesthetic injection procedures.

At the end of the day, I’m known for being honest, hands-on, and deeply invested in helping my students succeed, and that’s what continues to drive everything I do.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best way to work with me is through American Academy of Aesthetics (AAOA). We offer a range of trainings for medical professionals, from beginner to advanced courses in injectables, laser, and regenerative medicine, as well as ongoing mentorship through our injector fellowship program.

For those looking to collaborate, I love partnering with brands, industry leaders, and other providers who are aligned with raising the standard in aesthetics- whether that’s through education, events, or content.

I also will be speaking at the 2026 AANP National Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada held on June 23 – 27 2026.
